Pacific Institute of Technology is approved by the VA and accepts the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill. Our technical programs help prepare students for IT careers as well as build a foundation for more education.

All courses currently offered under Pacific Institute of Technology academic programs are also offered under the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill Program funded by the department of Veteran Affairs

Who is Qualified?

The Post-9/11 G.I. Bill is for individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days on or after September 11, 2001. Veterans, active-duty service members, and their spouses and dependents may be eligible for these benefits.

How to Request evaluation of credit for military experience

Step 1: Request your official transcript and/or other acceptable documentation from your military branch.

Step 2: Provide official documents to your admissions representative who will send them to the Academics Department for evaluation

Pacific Institute of Technology will consider accepting transfer credits or clock hours earned provided that all admissions criteria have been met.

Tuition and fees will be adjusted as appropriate for any transfer credits accepted that reduce the total number of quarter credits the student must complete at Pacific Institute of Technology to earn the chosen program certificate or degree.

Application Process

Step 1: Apply to the VA to determine your eligibility using VA Form 22-1990, “Application for Education Benefits” (this form can be filled out electronically using (www.gibill.va.gov).  Chapter 35 applicants use VA 22-5490 application form. Generally, if you have already completed this form in the past, and there are no substantial changes to your program (for example: changing colleges, schools, or majors) it will not be necessary to submit a new form each year.

Step 2: Provide Pacific Institute of Technology with copies of all VA forms you have submitted (student files are audited by the VA periodically).

Step 3: Keep Pacific Institute of Technology and the Veterans Affairs Office advised of any change of address.

Step 4: Contact your admissions representative to select courses
