We believe that the Old and New Testaments are God’s perfect word divinely inspired and given by God. The Bible is our infallible rules of faith and practice, it is without any errors in its entirety, and it is trustworthy in all its teachings. The Bible is full and complete, all its parts are inspired, and none of its parts has been altered by the thoughts and ideas expressed by human thoughts.
We believe in the one true, living, eternal, transcendent, omnipotent, and personal God, revealed in nature as the creator, preserver, and the Righteous Governor of the universe, and who exists as the Trinity, possessing three eternal, personal distinctions which are revealed to us as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are perfectly equal, yet they execute distinct but harmonious offices
We believe in God the Father, the first person of the Divine Trinity, who is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He is infinitely sovereign, eternal, and unchangeable in all His attributes and is worthy of honor, adoration, and obedience.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Perfect Son, God manifest in the flesh, and second member of the Divine Trinity. In His divine nature, He is truly God, and in His human nature He is truly man and perfectly sinless in all his Humanity. He was miraculously conceived and born of a virgin. He is the mediator between God and man. Once crucified, he died for our sins, but he is now risen and glorified, and is our ever-present Savior and Lord.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Divine Trinity. The Scriptures assign to Him all the attributes of God. He guides, knows, moves, gives information, commands, forbids, sends forth, reproves, and can be sinned against. He convicts, regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, seals all believers in Christ, and empowers them for service. Believers are filled with the Spirit at the time of salvation. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to all believers; however, the manifestation of any particular gift is not required as evidence of salvation.
We believe that each person has sinned and is unable through personal effort to restore that broken relationship with God and can only receive salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ. We believe in the redemptive grace of God through the substitutionary work of Jesus Christ who paid the full price for the sins of the world, through His literal physical death, burial and resurrection, followed by His bodily ascension into heaven, so that when one turns to Christ by faith and accepts His grace, one receives the gift of a new life in Christ.
We believe in a personal salvation provided solely by the grace of God on the basis of the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that salvation is only appropriated by a person placing their faith in the finished work of Christ and not by human merit or work. We are eternally saved from the penalty of sin.
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and that the people of God are called to community, worship, discipleship, mission, and education. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and in the importance of Christian community for spiritual growth in Christ. We believe it is important for all followers of Christ to share their faith with others, so they too may come to know Him, for when He returns, He will judge the living and the dead. Those who are saved will be welcomed to spend eternity with Him, and those who are lost will be eternally separated from Him
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the bodily resurrection, the final judgment, the eternal felicity of the righteous and the fulfillment of His purposes in the works of creation and redemption with eternal rewards and punishments.
We believe the biblical account of creation as a historical and theological record of God’s creation. We believe that God, by His own special act, created the universe and all that is in it in six literal days of the creation week. God’s creation includes, and is not limited to, the existing space-time universe along with its basic systems and all kinds of living organisms. God created man, consisting of a material body and a thinking, rational soul. He was made in the image of God, to glorify his Maker. Adam and Eve are our first parents whom God specifically created.
We believe in the existence of a personal, malevolent being called Satan who acts as tempter and accuser. He can be resisted by the believer through faith and reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit. A place of eternal punishment has been prepared for Satan, along with those who die outside of having faith in Christ, where they will be confined to conscious torment for eternity.
